Salt N pepper wings

Hey hey heyyyyy where have I been? Idk i keep disappearing I promise I’ll stop, I’ve just been so tired from doing nothing so I thought why not take a big fat social media break.

My birthday is next Monday and seasonal depression has kicked in doesn’t make any sense I should be popping bottles and screaming for the hills instead I’m binging the Simpsons and eating blueberry muffins.

Today I decided to cook something because I missed the kitchen and I was craving salt and pepper wings but I’m being a cost efficient babe and saving for my high maintenance lifestyle??

BTW Big up all my Muslim followers + friends who are fasting, hope Ramadan is going well for you all🫶🏾xoxo

Let’s make this grubbbb (Wanna say it serves 4 but I ate all 12 alone…..)

You will need:

  • Wings

  • Mixed peppers

  • Onion

  • Salt

  • White pepper

  • Turmeric

  • Cornflour

  • Soy sauce

  • Ginger powder

  • Oil (for deep frying)

Process:

  1. Season your wings with soy sauce & salt + pepper

  2. Chop all your veg and set aside

  3. Start your flour station - in a bowl mix your cornflour & turmeric

  4. Throw one wing at a time into the flour station, coat both sides and let it rest on a rack

  5. Once rested for about 10 mins, drop the wings into your pot of hot oil

  6. Allow to cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown

  7. Allow to drain and rest on a rack

  8. In a pan heat up some oil and throw chopped veg in, fry until soft

  9. Add in ginger powder, white pepper & salt, decrease heat

  10. Toss in wings until fully covered

  11. Doneeee, enjoy baddies xoxo
