Here's the recipe for you guys to try:

Ingredients:

- 1 pound (450g) thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 1 large onion, thinly sliced

- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

- 4 slices of Provolone or your choice of cheese

- 4 soft sub rolls or baguettes

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Optional: Worcestershire sauce for added flavor

- Optional: Mustard or mayonnaise for spreading on the rolls

Instructions:

1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add thinly sliced beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. If desired, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce for added flavor.

3. Push the cooked beef to one side of the skillet and add sliced onions and green bell peppers. Cook until vegetables are softened and lightly caramelized.

4. Mix the cooked beef, onions, and bell peppers together in the skillet, ensuring even distribution.

5. Preheat your oven's broiler.

6. Split the sub rolls or baguettes horizontally, leaving one side attached. Place them on a baking sheet.

7. Spoon the beef, onion, and bell pepper mixture evenly onto the rolls.

8. Lay slices of Provolone or your chosen cheese over the beef mixture.

9. Place the baking sheet under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 1-2 minutes. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.

10. Remove from the oven and close the sandwich rolls.

11. Optionally, spread mustard or mayonnaise on the rolls before serving.

12. Serve the Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches immediately, and enjoy your UK-friendly version of this philly fav! X
