Creamy Butter Chicken

Theres certain things I think about in life and go omg wth was I thinking it’s been happening a lot because between 2020-2022 I made some silly decisions some bigger than others, I legit just sit here and start cringing at some of the crap I put up with it’s ridiculous I must have wasteman written on my forehead with a black sharpie.

Anyway that was then and this is now I’m loving life the people who are meant to be in it are in it ygm those who ain’t lacked because I’m clear now haha boooooo tomatoes d:

Weather is gr8, sun is shining and my hot gyal summer bod is in the post, as much as I wanna scoff things down I’d much rather be bolo than depressed lmfao.

I was craving butter chicken and this was my first time making it and I really ateeee it up…

Aight boom, Lets cheffff it (Serves 4)

You will need:

  • Diced chicken breast

  • Greek yogurt

  • Brown onion

  • Unsalted butter

  • Bay leaf

  • Cinnamon stick

  • Ginger paste

  • Garlic paste

  • Coriander

  • Chopped tomatoes

  • Tomato puree

  • Double cream

  • Oil

  • Seasonings :

    • Mixed spice

    • Garam masala

    • Turmeric

    • Curry powder

    • Salt

    • Paprika

Process:

  1. Season chicken pieces with - Garlic paste, Ginger paste, Salt, Mixed spice, Yogurt, Paprika

  2. In a pan of oil fry your chicken pieces, when all it’s own juices are soaked set aside in a bowl

  3. In the same pan add table spoon of oil 3 table spoons of butter (here for a good time not a long time xx)

  4. Add in your cinnamon stick and bay leaf

  5. Dice your onions and add into the mix

  6. When the onion is transparent add in all the seasonings mentioned above + Garlic & Ginger paste

  7. Squeeze in a tbsp of tomato puree

  8. When thoroughly mixed in add chopped tomato tin

  9. Allow to simmer for 5 mins

  10. Take out the bay leaf and cinnamon stick

  11. Remove from heat and blend until the mixture is smooth

  12. Add the blended mixture back into the pot on low heat

  13. Spill in double cream until the colour is giving BUTTER CHICKEN (I swear you’ll know)

  14. Allow to simmer for 2 minutes

  15. Add the chicken we set aside back in

  16. Cover and let simmer for another 5 mins.

  17. And that is it, serve with rice and garlic naan done deal bae xoxo
